So it was my fave lil cousin’s birthday, and she insisted on going to the casino to gamble. I simply couldn’t bring myself to gamble as I would (to paraphrase Carrie Bradshaw) rather keep my money in my closet where I can see it. But I’m no party pooper, so I went along for moral support. And of course we couldn’t go to the casino looking any less than stellar.


In my head, I imagined the casino crowd as only senior citizens and a few 40-50’s chain-smoking in sweats, but that was no deterrent! I wanted to look sweet yet edgy, so I went with a metallic pleated skirt I scored at Forever 21 and a sheer button-up that I got at a thrift store. 

I completed my look with a super cute faux leather jacket from 2B by Bebe for some edge. Piles and piles of silver jewelry and my adorable pink Steve Madden sandals later, I had this dope look. I usually don’t shoot my bag, but this day I did because I wore my fave purse charm of all time. I LOVE this look. Old folks or not, I’m ready for those flashing lights.
