I Like It Rough

I have a really bad habit of taking something very pretty and messing it up a lil’. I will stand in the mirror wearing something beautiful but feel incomplete. Enter the spikes: viola! Perfecto. This got me wondering why I like it rough. In all honesty, there is just something about leather and spikes and crosses (oh my) that captures me. It might have something to do with my very long punk phase… But I won’t go there.

After shimmying in to this dope H&M skirt, I kept gravitating towards leather jackets and tee-shirts instead of pretty racerbacks or cropped tops -which would have probably looked nice with this skirt. Due to my lack of impulse control, I left the house in this. I guess I will have to save pretty for the next time I wear this skirt, because I can’t go without my fix tonight.

Yes. It’s OTT, but who can go wrong in 7 inch spiked platforms and UNIF? Not me. Add in this body chain I made a few years ago and I’ve achieved total bad-ass-ness in a maxi skirt. Yes gawd! I’m shiny and I know it. Yes it’s rough.
