Pantone Color Of The Year 2022 Very Peri: An Ode To Purple

If you follow me on Instagram, you must know how excited I am about the Very Peri color announcement by Pantone. I have been wearing purple looks a lot! You can check out my How To Wear Purple Reel HERE and another recent purple post HERE. a lot of people find purple to be a difficult color to wear, but as long as you choose the right pieces, you can really make it work.

Either as a pop of color (like in a bag or scarf) or in a big statement like this coat, this color gives royal and unique. Before, I’d find it very difficult to find shades of purple other than pastel in stores. I think that Bottega Veneta kind of changed that when they started adding purple bags and shoes to their repertoire. Luckily, many other brands started following suit, and I started to see bags, coats, shoes and more everywhere. Currently, I have almost any clothing item you can imagine in this color because I love the unexpectedness of it.

Now, let’s get in to this purple look. When I saw this purple blazer, I just had to grab it. I have the pants and the skirt to it, and I have enjoyed wearing them. In this look, I chose to wear the pants and a super cute faux leather coat. For a pop of color, I chose to add a green bag (as if we could get enough of this shade of green) and I finished it off with these super cute woven raffia mules in purple as well. Purple looks great in a monochromatic look like this, or styled with other shades such as red, yellow, and cognac. Let me know. if you plan on wearing the Pantone color of the year.
