If you’ve been paying attention to the bag trends all Summer, you know the Telfar bag is a must have. So much so that the brand decided to let people pre-order because they’d instantly sell out the moment new stock dropped. I love how the brand is redefining what it means to have a luxury bag. Here are some key takeaways:
- It comes in 3 sizes. Here, I’m wearing the medium. I have my eyes on the small one. There’s also a larger one. all bags can be worn on shoulder also. I have the longer straps tucked in.
- It’s made of faux leather but still feels luxe and high quality. this is amazing for both those who are vegan or those of us who want a great bag at an ever greater price. It’s also light! These bags run under $270 USD.
- The designer, Telfar Clemens, is a Black male who went to the same college as me: Pace University in NYC. Love this!
I’ve been sitting on mine for a bit and finally decided to break it out as red is one of my favorite colors. I especially love it on a bag because it’s a great way to add color if you’re scared of color or prefer your wardrobe to be neutral. Now that my nails are red, I NEEDED to rock this bag.
So I decided to rock it with these super cute bow heels in red paisley. As bad as this sounds, they remind me of Los Angeles lol. I think they’re super fun and plan on wearing them quite often. Usually, the combination of red and green reminds people of Christmas. However, I felt like green, being red’s compliment, was the best way to let the bag shine.
This muted green dress is basically a neutral. I love the wrap details and the way the back falls. I got a US size 0, because I wanted my split pronounced. If you’re also a slim girl with some thighs or booty going on, get your normal size if you’d like the slit to be obvious also. I think the dress runs big.
To finish the look, I added some gold jewlery. I have been LIVING in these beautiful, dainty, gold plated 2.5″ hoops by Maison Miru. they are known for their ear stacks, but have amazing rings and hoops also. My necklace says “SHAYLA” but since I have my 6 year old taking my photos right now, his patience wouldn’t allow for better detail shots. If you’ve been considering the Telfar bag, I hope this post has helped you make the decision. 10/10 recommend.
