Few things look as good against tan skin as bronzer, brown colored clothing, and gold jewelry. I’ve been very in to brown lately and you guys know I LOVE gold jewelry (and pretty much anything else gold really). Luckily for me, I’ve also gotten a pretty good tan while grilling and doing some outdoor improvements in my backyard/back porch these past few weeks. With all the hot weather, it was the perfect time to break out this dress.
This dress is SO fun because of the zipper and cut outs. Having versatility (and a sexy color) drew me right to this perfect “date night” or “outing with the girls” look. With hubs being deployed and Covid numbers still rising in my state, I won’t be doing much of either these days- but I can still dress up for FaceTimes and Zooms and BBQs in my backyard!
I styled this dress with my current fave necklace (the one that says “Shayla”) , a herringbone necklace, and hoop earrings. I’ve been stocking up on affordable gold plated jewelry lately that I can wear without triggering my allergies to most metals. Nickel, which is in SO many things, I’m especially allergic too. Now that I’ve gotten my hands on so many good quality, gold plated pieces, please expect to see me piling up on gold a la Slim in 2012-16 (that was before my allergies went haywire and I could hardly tolerate any costume jewelry).
To finish the look, I threw on some bangles and filled my fingers with the cutest gold rings. The bar ring is super elegant and I love the impact it makes on it’s on or in a grouping. The bands vary in thickness so they can be stacked. I especially like that they all can tolerate reasonable moisture since I am washing my hands far more frequently now.
Finally, I added these spiral sandals I’ve been living in, and a handbag I’ve had since like 2004. My hair is pulled back (which I almost never do) so I could let my jewelry shine and tan shine. I hope you all love this look as much as I do. Please let me know below in the comments what your favorite piece is. It’s so hard for me to choose just one. Stay safe!
