We were super excited to try out the ROYAL TREATMENT set by Young King Haircare! As you all may know, we style both of our son’s hair in afros, so there’s a lot of stying going on in my house. Not only is it vegan and free of silicones, phthalates and sulfates, but it is also geared towards boys which is helpful when you want your sons to take pride in their grooming like we do. It includes a leave in, a curl cream, and essential oils so you can style and maintain your child’s hair. With all of the hard playing and rough sleeping our kids do, we are always on the hunt for products that keep their wash and gos fresh.
Here is a rundown:
The Kids Leave In Conditioner smells amazing and helped to remoisturize Dylan and his brother’s curls. Dylan told me immediately that it was his favorite because it smells so good. I love it because it has glycerin and aloe which his hair loves! Dylan’s little spirals clumped immediately which let me know his hair was hydrated.
The Kids Essential Oil is amazing because it includes jojoba oil which is the most like our hair and skin’s natural oil. Also, the rosemary and castor oils are great for helping with maintaining length and growth. The oil also has a fresh scent (thanks to the rosemary).
The Kids Curling Cream did a great job of helping to seal in the moisture with additional oils like grapeseed and coconut oil and shea butter. I used all 3 in that order after washing Dylan’s hair and we were very happy til the immediate results and his next day curls.
I personally love the message and intent behind the brand and am always down to support small and Black businesses! You can try the Royal Treatment set or any of the individual products (on sons and daughters!) and use the code Allthings15 for $ off. Please let me know how much you love Young King Haircare if you try it, I guarantee you’ll want to use some for yourself because it really does smell that good.
