Black Velvet Trees On Mantle | Brass Stocking Holder | Antelope Christmas Stockings
Hey! I decided to actually document the decor I did this year for Christmas on the blog instead of just on my socials. I am very weird in that I prefer my house undecorated vs all decorated for holidays. That is what makes me use a little bit of restraint when it comes to how I decorate when I do. Even still, my decor definitely skews ultra glam lol. For the fireplace, I was simple and just added 3 stockings. I only put 3 because I like odd numbers and 3 is my favorite. I do have enough for all of us though lol.
I debated about how far I wanted to go I. my kitchen. I ultimately decided that I was only going to go with wreaths on my cabinets. Instead of using the typical mall cabinet wreathes, I wanted regular sized ones. I like the festiveness it adds to the room since my family room/kitchen is open concept.

My formal dining room is always a hit when I post it online or on my personal socials. This is the first year that I’ve actually added a Christmas tree to it though. I kept the theme in line with the room, but it made it a little more whimsical than the living room tree by adding feathers. That is a nod to the feather palm lamp I made for my credenza ( I definitely regret not recording that process because I get asked all the time how I did it), and I like how it came out. There are also golden palm leaves because, in case you didn’t know, I LOVE palm trees. I am a Cali girl after all. I kept my table pretty simple because I do still actually have to eat at it. I am hoping that one day, I will have a much bigger dining table so I can fit all the food, tale settings, people, and table decor I’d like to.
I absolutely love how my Chanel inspired tree for my den turned out. Last year, I used my black Christmas tree to make a Nightmare before Christmas themed tree for my youngest son, Declan. This year, I moved that tree to his mini tree in his room (don’t worry, you’ll still be able to see it below!) and made myself a glamorous Chanel tree. I didn’t record the entire process, but I did make a reel that you can view HERE on how I made this tree. I wanted it to be all white bulbs and pearl strands, and it was actually Trevor (my husband) who suggested that I top the tree with a huge Camellia flower- like the ones you get on your shopping bags and purse boxes when you shop at Chanel boutiques. I can’t wait to see how this tree evolves because I have some great ideas for the version I do next year already.
Finally, here is my little’s Nightmare Before Christmas tree. I made the Jack, Sally, etc. ornaments myself using paint. He loves this tree and I do too. It’s his favorite movie. I hope you all enjoyed the Christmas decor tour, and be sure to check out my Instagram for a 2 part home tour of how my home looks when I doesn’t have holiday decorations. I hope you have a very Merry Christmas! and please tell me below ij the comments which tree is your favorite. Hopefully next year I can include Dylan’s tree (he decorated it himself and let’s just say it doesn’t quite match the rest lol).
